Supported Accommodation Service
At Guided Steps, we provide high-quality, person-centred Supported Accommodation for young people aged 16 and over who are preparing to leave care and take their first steps towards independent living.
Our Supported Accommodation provision is Ofsted registered and operates under ‘Category 1’ placements, meaning it meets the highest standards of safety, quality, and governance. We work closely with Local Authorities and partner agencies to create tailored support packages that meet each young person’s individual needs, aspirations, and goals.
Meet our manager - Dave Morris
I have over 13 years' experience working with children and young people across education and residential childcare. My career began in education, KS3/4 and KS5 before progressing into behaviour management and alternative education, where I developed a passion for supporting vulnerable young people to achieve positive outcomes. I transitioned into residential childcare, progressing from Senior Residential Support Worker to Deputy Manager, contributing to multiple homes achieving Outstanding Ofsted judgements. Alongside completing a Master's degree, PGCE, Level 3 Residential Childcare and Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification, I have built my leadership around high expectations, strong relationships and child-centred practice. As Registered Service Manager, my vision is to provide a safe, aspirational environment where every young person is equipped with the confidence, resilience and practical skills needed to thrive in independent adulthood.
